I don't think the cameras, laptops on the tournaments either killed the game, everybody can use hi software at home as well. The problem is that 99% of the players realize what their actual play is and how it compare to the others.
I'm for recording matches and me myself i record every single match i play even if is with friend and i do it by hand writting, of course i will not do it in important tournament and i will not carry camera as well. To be honest for me seeing all those equipement on the tables is ugly, so i would see better get a friend to record your match on a paper, first you will not loose time reviewing the video and second the tables will look more natural, let the only cameras be TV, if this happend one day(hopefully). But for sure i'm for recording, if this is the motivation to play BG, to become greater player, why stoping it?Then even less players will attend.
The thing that bg loose attendence is clear and everybody propose how to make it grow, the problem is that somehow i don't see this happend, some ideas even make it worse and the other problem is actually i can't even propose anything better.
