Points taken and thanks for the inputs.
Changes will take place with immediate effect, starting with the next EBGT event in Vienna. But changes will not only be reflected in the entry fees, rakes and prize-pools, but in also in what I like to call "quality" of tournaments, which, alas, canŽt be the same if financially not affordable anymore. Equipment has its price and so does a competent staff, as well as live streaming or seminars. Those are not rake-based on lower entry fees, but cost a fix amount. WeŽll see the outcome.
My prediction is that from now on, only local people (if at all) can afford to run events and there are too few of them willing to put up the work for the little return (see San Francisco as an example which has no longer an ABT event).
BTW, I never said I would ban electronic devices from tournaments (that was clearly written in my original post). My question was rather: shouldnŽt people use them for training purposes at home and leave them there when they come to a tournament. I never refused recording on my tournaments to anyone who wanted to do so, as long as there was enough space for it.
