How many pro BG players?

I understand the question is somewhat nebulous, so I clarify.

I am not interested in figuring out how much anyone makes a year. I was trying to get an idea about the size of the industry.

Compare, for example, Poker where it is my understanding that there are many players who earn their livelyhood directly from playing and related endorsement deals. For them, Poker is a job.

Whether someone makes $30,000 or $500,000 is not the issue.

The quetion deals with the number of people for whom playing backgammon is their job.
