Duping 1s and minimizing shots, C (Cross) = bar/23 8/2, is probably best. Slotting the bar is aggressive, and it unstacks, but I worry that Blue will be too busy scrambling to be able to cover in most variations. BTW: I am intrigued by your last problem, but have not responded (as yet) because I fear my contribution would be more noise than signal. When you post the rollout, please publish the move sequence that got you there. Then I can add the position to my early game database. Thanks. Mike
