I'd play bar/23...are we in agreement so far?

Then 13/7 with the 6, because despite the many hit and cover rolls it leaves, at least it "works when it works". It slots a point we want, gives us quite a few return shots even on the hit and cover rolls, and doesn't leave us with a difficult clean-up job for later. Unstacking the midpoint is a plus, also. I think this all adds up to enough benefits to justify the extra shots it leaves.

If this play draws a cube, take. Opponent is better off than we are, but we're not all that bad. He has a lot of hit and cover rolls, but OTOH he hasn't actually done even one of those things yet.
