Playing off the midpoint slots a valuable point and unstacks a bloated point at the cost of leaving a double shot. (27 shakes if i counted right)

playing off the minimizes shots (11, not counting shots at the runner) at the cost of stripping the midpoint and burying a checker.

What's better here? Well, 11 of the 27 shots at the bar point cover white's blot while only 6 shots at a deuce point blot cover. Also, after 8/2 1 are duplicated, so 31 41 and 51 are good rolls for white after either play.

I'll minimize shots. 8/2
