I agree that "the game plan is to race" is basically the right comment, but I don't agree with MCG's assessment that the comments about duplication and number of shots are unimportant. I don't have the bot analysis on me right now but when I was studying the position, I believe that in the variant below (White's home-board blot shifted so that 4's aren't duplicated any more), 16/11 doesn't come out on top any more. Even if a rollout puts it on top, I'm sure that the decision is a lot closer. We'd like to race but there is a cost to paying now that must be assessed.
