You're up a ton of pips, 22, after this roll. If I advance the anchor it only eases your play behind me. You will never have any bad rolls as you have all day to either bury those extra checkers behind me, attack my lone blot, or roll doubles. You said "a lot of White's winning shots will be at the midpoint". This is too early to tell. You have made no improvements in your home board or any extra landing places in your outer board. You'll have a tough time making points naturally, I can expect shots as of right now pretty much whenever & wherever.
Blocking 66 isn't worth two pennies in my opinion compared to what making the anchor opens up. Allowing you to freely play behind me is just a no-no here.
As a side note, depending on the exact position, I'd be more inclined to make the bar point if your five point was already made, but generalizations can't be made w/out an exact position. I still would make my other play here if your 5 was made. Stick
