Tim, you wrote (roughly) that it is not interesting to improve on the PR measurement, since it "evens out" in the longer run anyway.
I don't think that's true. I see an inherent bias in the PR measure towards "aggressive" or "fresh" cube play.
The opposite is also true, cube error patterns that are on the "conservative" side of optimum, will be punished harder, since they will lead to fewer of the easy end-game decisions.
Long runs won't help you here.
I addressed this in my proposal (by toning down the weight of correct non-contact decisions). An improvement that to me seems worth looking at, no matter in what time perspective you consider PR/ER.
I think it will make PR (difference) and win-rate correlate more.
