Talk about bad rolling...

One fellow, a long-time player ($ but not tournament who everyone in NY knows) I had been playing with quite a bit insisted on dropping his dice from near shoulder-level (seated) frequently while we played (when he "needed" good dice). He so frequently consecutively rolled his dice off the board and onto the floor 3 or more times in a row (IN A ROW - OFF THE BOARD) that I ended up implementing a rule, which he agreed to admitting how ridiculous his rolling was/is, awarding me a point ($) every time he managed to roll off the board 3 times in a row.

While I never enforced it, it did allow me to comfortably say (often) "come on, ____, one more and I get a point.". The 3rd roll was far less frequently off the board.

However, most people do a fine job. And there's only one open tournament player who I can think of who has a regular idiosyncratic dice habit.
