My Oddest Position/Occurrence

About three years ago I (blue) was on roll in this position against Malcolm Davis (white). If I don't hit it is hopeless, right? Shutout in the Crawford game. The other guy all but off for the match.

I miss the hit with something like a 1-2 and play 8/5. But Malcolm responds with 1-1 leaving two blots. I hit with another 2-1 and play 3/1 to try and get the second checker. I do end up with the second checker and come back to win the game; and later come back to win the match.
