Understanding Backgammon Position #65

I run 22/13. I believe that all other alternatives are inferior to this play since it has some advantages:
I am under attack, but my opponent has very few numbers that hit and leave him unexposed, especially with the blot on his 2.
As my opponent has a stronger home board, and a strong potential prime, given my crappy position, my best strategic alternative is going for a race, which is currently even since after this play I am up by 4 pips.
If somehow, I dodge the bullet/s, I could run with the last checker after a 4X or 6X in following rolls for some good Xs.
Another advantage is related to the cube action: The other alternative that I see is 2 down (13/8, 13/9). I believe it is a bad play as it disconnects the back checkers so badly that it should be followed by a cube (with a greedy smile on my opponent's face as I am forced to take it).
The running play should hold the cube for now since my opponent still has two checkers back (as opposed to my one checker post-play) and a blot on his 2 point.
22/13
