Speed Gammon Stats & Baffle Box

My newest boxes, even with all of the ridges, still rolls very quickly and takes far less than 1 second for the dice to go through the box. I have not run enough careful trails to measure exactly how long, nor do I have statistics to prove how many fewer cocked dice there are, but I do agree that it does happen occasionally. It happens less often with smaller dice by the way.
I am now convinced by both of you that the clock should stop if the dice go on the floor, and Chuck is correct that this can happen even with a baffle box...someone may simply miss the opening.
I do not believe it is necessary to use cups with the box as it is actually easier and quicker to get the dice into the box without cups, but many players simply like the feel of shaking. In speed gammon on Thursday, if my opponents agree, I would prefer not to use cups for speed and because they are just not needed.
Years ago someone proved they could affect the dice even when using a baffle box when they did not use a cup, and people have been paranoid about that since. The fact is that it was an inferior baffle box and the dice were not dropped into the box, but placed very carefully so that they would slide instead of bounce along the baffles. I defy anyone to do this today with my boxes, even if they could place them, which would be a huge flag. So the only way I think to cheat or gain an advantage is with loaded dice, and since we will be using clocks and one set, that would take some real slight of hand (which I have been working on day and night to perfect).
