That article is about people watching sports and many of those spectators hardly play the sport at all. By backgammon being popular I think of players more than watchers and suspect most here agree.

What were some of the most watched olympic events recently? Was it Phelps in the pool and Bolt on the track? If so what does that say about the premise of the article?
