I have experienced the following:

Conducted a rollout, stopped it in the middle, changed settings and restarted the rollout. The rollout continued from the old point, i.e. the first half of the rollouts had been done with 0-ply checker play, the second half with 2-ply. I think, this is not okay. If one changes the settings, the rollout should start from the beginning.

So stopping and restarting only seems an option to me, if it is ensured, that the same settings are used when restarting the rollout.
