Well, according to the little experiment you suggested, the settings for the quasi-random dice are not saved when the rollout is stopped. As you said, in a 1296 rollout, each side rotates through the 36 possible first rolls (although the order is randomised). I assume that at the start of the rollout, the order of first rolls is set, but this list is not saved when the rollout is stopped.
Thus the quasi-random dice option on rollouts is less/not valid if the rollout is to be stopped. Having said that, variance reduction should largely compensate for this.
