I misplayed this one. Hitting 6/1x is better than 6/2 5/4. I felt it was better to force Black to play his whole roll since that creates 13 bad numbers - any five plus D3 and D4. You won't be gin if this happens but you'll be a solid favorite. On Black's other 23 numbers, you will then have 8 bad numbers of your own. It's slightly better to hit loose. If Black rolls an ace, you'll be favored to win the priming battle. If not, you'll be a clear fav to cover, escape, and win the game.
