Thanks to both Mike and Xavier for making this clear.

I have observed anecdotally that a significant number of the close replies in the XG Opening Book were overturned when rollouts using 2-ply moves and 3-ply Red cubes were replaced by ones that use 3-ply or better.

In my own work, I have been using the XG2 defaults: 3-ply moves and XGR cubes.
