Apart from the race, Magriel's criteria point to a safe play, so I'll just play to the five point.

Hitting is so tempting, but a lot of the covering numbers seem to leave a further shot. Maybe White won't get away, and Blue gets another crack at the blot.

I've hit many times and been wrong, so I'll try to learn that "four in a row is more than I think".
