Start the ace- and deuce-points; bring in the two outside checkers. The dice are saying "race" and this is the best way to do that with 4-4. The "save sixes" plays mean both giving up either the 6- or 5-point and putting more checkers on low points than we need right now.

Didn't someone say "saving sixes is overrated"? Not that every memorable saying is even true...
