If you learned from Robertie's Advanced Backgammon as I did, you didn't bother to subtract the double counting. Most of the time it doesn't matter (on the P/T decision, that is) and it's an extra thing that can go wrong. But if you can keep all your fingers and toes in the proper positions, why not? :)
