I count the difference only. It is 11 pips, confirmed by the position posted. As the leaders race count is only 76 then I am well over 10% ahead in the pip count.

I would not be particularly happy that I have a couple more crossovers to achieve before I can start bearing off, but I would double anyway. It will then be up to my opponent to figure out if those crossovers make enough difference to take. Perhaps he will get confused using his eye or the KC. There will be enough passes to offset any error there might be in doubling, it seems to me...

If I got it wrong, who cares? A guy ahead on the score sheet might pass, a guy down ten points is taking. If it is wrong to double with a 15% lead in the race, well that is the kind of bummer I will just have to live with.

Meanwhile I have not wasted much time or energy and I can last another half hour with these bozos in which time I should become filthy rich!
