After you made a point, and your opponent replied by making two bar points, you want to split in hope for advanced anchor or outfield control. Unfortunately, split with an ace is not very effective here, because it doesn't give you a direct six out, and it only puts a limited pressure on opponents outfield. Split with an ace also makes her 66 play very well. Therefore, after playing a forced 6, look for an ace on your side of the board. You want to make points, and preferably in order. Therefore, 6/5 should be a winner if you have made your 5, 4, or 3 point on your 1st roll. I am less sure what your ace should be if you made your deuce point. On one hand, you need 5pt, so you might as well slot it. On another hand, third checker on ace pt looks ugly and have nowhere else to go except ace pt.
