Lyle Rubin, David rubin's son had the potential but is pursuing other areas.
I have a 13 year old student who is relatively new to the game and has not studied many parts of the game and is already playing under 9PR. He is two g lessons from me 2-3 times a week during the summer and will continue once a week in the fall. I believe he could be as close to a prodigy as has ever been seen and I believe he might have reached under 4.0 by 14 if he had started a year sooner.
He will be a giant by the time he is 18 if he continues his studies.
Last weekend I send out 7 problems from the Saturday Chou. Several giants missed one or two and many fine players reported missing 3. He got them all right.
