I don't know what Magriel's play would be, or whether it's the right one for that matter.

I'll play 13/7 6/3*. Unstack the bloated midpoint and knock blue off balance with a loose hit. Blue has no board so a return shot is no big deal. If blue rolls poorly it's a cube.
