Does XG sometimes lower this automatically during match play? If so, that may have happened in the match Igor was playing. Later, when he converted from match play to an unlimited game, there may have been a hiccup which left it at the lowered value.

Otherwise, Igor may have pasted an XGID from a position on the Internet that used the lower value.

BTW: You can find cube turns at the very end of the XGID.
