Followup to Stick's "Double Fours to Play"

I thought the principles from the prior problem was:

** gameplan is to wait to clear the outside anchor

** 4 down creates a compact structure

** and gives you playable spares while you wait --> max wait time for a better double

Is my above reasoning faulty? Does the same reasoning apply here?

I don't know. A tough one.

13/9(4) is certainly possible with the same logic as above.

In this specific position you have 6 men on the six point so 13/9(2), 6/2(2) unstacking both seems reasonable too - even though the two point is pretty lame.

13/5(2)is tempting (always make the 5 point) but looks a little frontloaded and stripped here.

With low confidence I'll choose 13/9(4) and hope to make a better inner point (not the 2) next time
