Answer and what happened/and my MCG Match

In Response To: Cube from NY Metro Open last night (Phil Simborg)

I correctly recubed to 8 and my opponent passed, making a .180 error by passing.

The match went to DMP

At DMP I had a 5-3 to play, below, and made the correct play and lost from there.

In the previous match I beat MCG in a 13 point match and he was dumb enough to give the $150 to $100 on the bet (most agreed I made a bad bet, by the way). He was also dumb enough to bet me $100 on the PR and spot me 3. There he wasn't so dumb because he played at 2.75 and I played at 7.26.

In my defense, I shouldn't have bet on the PR because I knew going in that I was going to have to gamble on some cubes to beat him. He was leading 3away/6away and then 1away/5away Crawford and I beat him at DMP. He was also smart enough to bet me because after I won I bought him dinner...I should have remembered what a big eater he is!
