O.K., I see now that 6/1 came up when I said "Saving 6's and 5's so that you don't have to break the midpoint makes some sense, but it wouldn't explain why 6/1 is a blunder (apparently, although Stick didn't post a rollout for it) while 7/2 is not."
First of all, I wasn't saying that 6/1 really was a blunder, just that under the hypothesis that the XG results weren't garbage, then saving 6's and 5's would not explain why XG dings 6/1 but not 7/2.
Does that clarify? Or are you asserting that 6/1 really is a blunder and you want me to explain why? Then I'd revert to what I said before, that 6/1 isn't really a blunder, and that GNU's evaluation of –0.027 doesn't seem difficult to explain.
