Preliminaries
Blue has 27 hitting numbers. He also has a few second chances if he misses on this turn. His open board, however, is somewhat of a problem. He has one dead checker already, and filling the gap on the 3-point wont be automatic. After entering, White will have to jump only a three-point block, so there are many in-and-out numbers for him. According to the pseudo-cubeless numbers below, Blue is winning 69% of the games, and netting about 15% gammons. At the Original Score No Redouble/Take
Leading 7-away/8-away it is a small technical error to cube this. When Blue redoubles and wins a gammon, there is some overage, so his gammon value is reduced compared to a money game. In practice, it is probably a good cube anyway, because Blue will get some passes. Indeed, Sean contemplated for a while before he correctly took.

When the Score Is Reversed Redouble/Pass
When the scores are reversed, this becomes a massive double and a small pass. At 8-away, a gammon win on a 4-cube would cinch the victory.

Unlimited Game Redouble/Take
For money, the position is a solid double and an equally solid take. The open 3pt makes the take decision much easier than it would be otherwise.

Three different scores give three different cube actions. Backgammon is a difficult game!
Igor linked to a similar position from Robertie's Advanced Backgammon. The analysis Igor gives there is far better than my modest offering above.
