and again, not knowing whether it's a take or pass helps none as you give up an enormous amount of equity either way.

Correct, and again, you cannot Woolsey-double based on a determination that you are either near the top of or slightly over your doubling window but not sure which, when you do not know what your doubling window is, or even know if you have one.
