13/7 is a nice builder for the homeboard. OTOH, it goes past three outfield points that are also valuable.

24/18 gets a back checker moving. Sometimes it's a shooter. But what it's NOT is a builder (yet) because we don't want the 18-point and probably no other point in White's outfield. (16-point might be good but will be hard to get.)

So both plays have their pluses but neither is clearcut (which obviously is why Stick stopped here).

What our position could most use is homeboard improvement. Thus I'm breaking the tie with...
