OK, here's another angle

This may be the answer to a different question: "why is it important to study DMP backgammon?" Because most players are used to thinking about positions where gammons matter. Our play tends to be along those lines. There are a lot of non-intuitive DMP plays IF our intuition has been developed to include gammons.
