If it was after ten, and Tim Mabee was plus as much as one point, he would announce that his wife expected him home. One night around ten-thirty he got gammoned in the Box and I pointed to the -35 on the score sheet and said: "Gee, here's a note from Tim's wife saying he can play all night!"
