Monaco Registration Fees??

Once upon a time backgammon was built around Eurotrash, and those who aspired to join their ranks. This was a good thing! Those were the glory days of backgammon, and all that glowing glamour (or faux-glamour) was generated by the radioactive heat of the vast sums of money those players represented. Even back then there were those too young and crass to realize they might kill the golden geese, or at least drive them off, with their bitching. Real players "manned up," learned to drink sour $100 a glass Bordeaux, and how to wear a suit and tie, and let the big wins in the thousand-franc chouettes ease their pain.

Today most of the Eurotrash have moved on, or died off, and most backgammon players are young, crass, and saving up $50 for XG. If they got anywhere near a twenty-Euro chouette they would faint.

Then again, once they find out they can't have fourteen in a single room at Loews, what are they doing in Monte Carlo anyway?
