There have many recommendations over the years and hardly anything has been implemented. I'm not going to rehash it here because I've done it over the years and never have the people behind the tournament addressed any issues publicly to my knowledge. The tournament itself can't be mediocre and expect the title that accompanies it to draw the best players. There are many things, what I'd consider small things, that could and should be changed that would make it a much more desirable tournament. I'm not talking about added money or rotating venues or any of the big ticket items that could also accompany this title. It's so lackluster in my opinion I don't even care enough to rant about it any more. How sad is that.
