The real problem I think is Monte Carlo in itself and what kind of customers it targets. The average price of a hotel room is at least 300-400 euros a night, that should tell us something (backgammon players typically live in some rotten 2 stars hotel close by in France with inflated prices as well). If the organizers want to make a profit they either need a big attendance (not there) or they need to have a huge entry fee...We need to move the world championship to another more affordable city.
