Monaco Registration Fees??

It's a bit high, but hey it's the French Riviera, you pay for the tournament location, staff and advertising.

In life you get what you pay for generally speaking, in Las Vegas you might pay $50 registration and cheaper hotels and air fare, but you don't have the experience of being in Europe in such an exotic location.

I'm 100% sure the organizers thought it over and are not trying to gouge people intentionally and give some value included with the registration fee. Bear in mind a few years ago money was worth more plus the Euro has gone down dramatically in the last year.
