Actually, I didn't forget. That wasn't part of my plan.

rew's board (well, not his) could be a good compromise -- including the tactile part of backgammon (shaking, rolling, moving) without most of the downsides. I still prefer electronic dice. Maybe there could be a prosthetic device connected to the roller's arm which takes over if not enough shakes occur. :)
