Why no advertisers' sponsorship money?

I am not speaking in my best interest by saying this but if I were marketing director of a big company and someone asked me for sponsorship money for backgammon tournaments, I´d call security to throw him out before he even finished his sentence. There is strictly no value in putting up any amount of money for backgammon compared to better useage of that exact sum of money elsewhere. The reach, the target audience and the return is almost better everywhere else, even and especially if you spent it for a live broadcast of Phil Simborg´s biggest fun in life, with or without his clothes on.
