I make the 5-point because I definitely don't want opp doing that. The race is close and the more advanced his/her anchor, the better chances s/he has of converting to a race.

After that I don't want checkers on my 11-point. 11/10 eases that eyesore somewhat. Finally I play 16/15. It does leave 2/36 shots but the upside is a builder for the 9-point. Besides, once I've committed to 11/10, no other ace looks attractive.
