After playing the 33, you are at the losing end of a 3 roll position. White can miss twice, but that is a very small chance. Your main chance of winning is rolling working doubles. Since you are left with 5, a double is working if you take at least 3 off. After 6/off 3/off, 5/2 adds 22 as a working double vs 6/3. 4/1 adds 11 in a sense, but gives up on 44. So 5/2 with the last 3.

Main thing: don't think in abstract concepts, think in concrete terms what you need to do to win.
