Did someone mention not doubling because he didn't know how to play our next roll?
I looked at several plays and came down to two: the bold 21/16 and the passive 13/8. (Blotting in the homeboard when already outboarded and with few covering checkers didn't make the cut.) Either finalist could work or backfire. But long term I like the outfield control, and although we can regain it later, later might be too late.
We're way behind in the race. We need to hit. Positioning our checkers to maximize our hitting chances looks like the route to go. If they roll 11 or 22 (and we fail to enter) then we accept that with stoicism.
(Do I hear Stick in the background whispering "what's the DMP play?)
21/16
