I personally find that the opaque dice are no easier to read when the light is reflected. So far, however, I have only seen black opaques with white pips (plus some transparent). I think white dice with black pips may well be easier to discern when the glare is on (they could be no worse).

It is great to see baffle boxes used, and clearly some players are discovering that they like them, having probably never used them before. But it is also great to see the clock: when one or both players are in time trouble it really adds to the intrigue! With the transparent baffle boxes I reckon the scorecard could be read if put close behind the box, with the clock on the other side, on it's own.
