Sometimes one has to be bloody rude in order to get a point across. Your play 9/5 shows a complete lack of understanding of the position and was a schoolboy error. Under different circumstances your medium-sized error could be a huge blunder. Putting it simply the object here is to try and contain the runner. This fact is confirmed in that 6/5 is the best roll for white in both circumstances. The fractured prime created by 13 to 9 is a step in the right direction. I am not going to get involved any further in a what if scenario.
Oh the above does not answer your question. Once you have the two dice distribution windows open pay attention to the red bars in both cases. These are the best likely rolls that the opposition will get. List them out one under the other, cancel out the common rolls. For the 9/5 roll this leaves 62 53 44 and just 61 for 13/9 I hope, say no more, its getting late. Backgammon is all about roll odds mostly, not a lot of people appreciate that.
I guess this post will not win me any friends at the forum, but what's the point of pussyfooting, best get a moment of quality time with the parrot.
