I hope a couple of my students wouldn't automatically play 9/5 here. Here's my own 5k rollout for money. There may be no overly pressing need to split but it sure is nice to be split when the opponent threatens to make one of many points. (5pt, 7pt) In addition to what Casper & Timothy said already.
