Thanks Robert.. I don't really have a need for that :)

I have deleted the invitation as, by default, it created a multi-day event appearing every single day for the rest of the year in Google Calendar.

I personally prefer my Calendar and day to day schedule to be as clean and clear as possible. Not sure if the other people you invited are similarly affected.
