2. Go through all legal plays on the board. If you start sytematically scannning from one quadrant to the next you can develop this skill to where you dismiss absurd plays in a flash, and go through the process rather quickly.

In one sense this is a good idea, but on the other hand, 98% of this process is unconscious. So there may be 63 legal plays, but you dismiss 60 of them unconsciously. It's too much work to look at 60 plays every roll. So have you really gone through all legal plays?
