Both candidates (make bar or hit on 9) seem to be pretty close to me in win%. I've learned the hard way, that when that's the case, and one play seems to loose considerably more gammons, one should go with the safer play.

I'd go by this general feeling and make the bar.

I think we loose something like 4-6% more gammons after the hit with so many blots and opp's good board plus some builders in the zone. Since I'd call the plays close at DMP, I wouldn't expect any of them to be better by more than 1% wins. So the gammons factor (elevated by the score) swing it for me.
