I was NOT allowed to play the blitz even though there were blitz brackets going and it was extremely clear that I wasn't going to have a main event match ready for hours.

Note that had I been required to stick around 'til the usual midnight, my total wait for 3 matches to finish to catch up to me would have been 9 hours !
